Wolf Repair Chicago Independent Wolf service Dispatch (312) 971-3506

About

A small independent shop on one North Side run

We repair Wolf cooking equipment — ranges, ovens, cooktops and the ventilation above them — in Lincoln Park, Lakeview, the Gold Coast and Bucktown. Four neighbourhoods, deliberately, because a territory you can cross in twenty minutes is what lets a morning call be seen the same afternoon.

What you get from us is a measurement rather than an opinion. The cavity gets read at the shelf, the flame gets watched at simmer as well as at full, the blower gets drawn at every speed. Then you get one figure covering parts and labour, before anything is ordered.

What you will not get is a number nobody has counted. There is no first-visit fix rate on this site and no jobs-completed figure, because neither has been measured, and a rounded guess in a paragraph like this one is just a lie with better manners.

  • Gas joints opened on a visit are leak-tested before we leave
  • Factory-spec replacement parts only
  • Written diagnosis left after every visit
  • Workmanship warranty on the repairs we carry out

Licensed, bonded and insured. We provide our licence number to customers on request.

Method

What actually happens between the call and the invoice

  1. I

The fault gets described before the range gets touched

Model and serial off the plate behind the kick panel, what the appliance is doing now versus what it did a month ago, and whether anything changed in the kitchen — a new hood, a gas meter swap, a building riser worked on. Half of these faults narrow to two candidates on that conversation alone.

    • Model and serial recorded
    • Fault reproduced, not assumed
    • Recent changes in the kitchen walked through
  2. II

Everything comes out onto a towel, in order

Caps, rings, burner heads, grates, racks and every fastener are laid out in the order they came off. It is the least glamorous part of the visit and it is why panels go back on square, nothing is left over, and the next technician can read what was done.

    • Parts laid out in removal order
    • Fasteners kept with their assembly
    • Cooktop and floor covered before work starts
  3. III

Measured, then quoted, then repaired — in that order

Flame quality watched at high and at simmer, cavity temperature read at the middle shelf against the setpoint, spark checked at each electrode, blower drawn through its speeds. Then one figure covering parts and labour, agreed before a part is ordered.

    • Cavity read at the shelf, not off the panel
    • Firm price before anything is ordered
    • Factory-spec parts only
  4. IV

Gas is tested, then the kitchen is left usable

Every joint we open is leak-tested before we close up. Burners are relit and watched through a full cycle, the oven is brought back to setpoint while we are still standing there, and the grates, racks and kick panel go back the way they were found.

    • Joints opened are leak-tested
    • Oven brought back to setpoint on site
    • Written diagnosis left with you
Two galvanised brackets, a torsion spring and a locating pin laid out on a towel beside pliers, three screwdrivers, a bristle brush and rows of screws, washers and nuts
Step II, and the reason panels go back on square: everything comes off onto a towel in the order it came off.

Two ways in

There is no contact form on this site

Not an oversight. A form means a queue and a promise about when somebody reads it. The phone is answered 24/7 and the booking page puts you straight into the diary, so those are the two routes and there is no third.

Tell us what it is doing. We will tell you what it is.

One call gets the fault described, the model checked and a visit booked. The $89 service call covers the diagnosis and comes off the repair when you approve it.

On site 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, seven days. Dispatch answered 24/7. No contact form — the phone and the booking page are the two ways in.
